Title: Putting the radar on Hepatis B and C, in Africa
Olufunmilayo Lesi is an associate Professor of Medicine in the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria. She is the Head of Gastroenterology and coordinates the liver disease clinic and patient care in viral hepatitis and HIV-hepatitis co-infection at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital. She is also involved in the HIV program pioneered by the US PEPFAR program, which provides HIV care to over 15,000 persons.
She is a member of the Technical Working group on Hepatitis control in Nigeria, is involved in WHO guidelines development for viral hepatitis in resource-limited settings and has many peer-reviewed publications in viral hepatitis and liver disease.
